Jacksonville is located in a prime location on the Atlantic Coast of northern Florida. Jacksonville’s growing population has contributed to the development and availability of new homes. Although the population has rapidly grown to almost 800,000 (November 2005), the real estate rates in Jacksonville remain low.
The St. Charles School District has seen the most recent boom of new homes being built in Jacksonville. Many of the new homes in this area offer vaulted ceilings with a covered back porch and spacious front and back yards. A new single-family home with three bedrooms, two baths, a two-car garage of 1,850 square feet is selling for only $253,900. A new four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in this area is selling for only $288,400.
